Medieval North India:
The original name of Makan sharief was ''Rattar Chattar''.It was located on a high mound on the left bank of river Ravi.It was the governing seat of a Hindu Raja named Chattar Dhari.May be Dhari Chand, and Chattar(The RoyalUmbrella)under which his throne was kept.So he was famous by the name of Chattar Dhari.

MIR SYED HUSSAM UL QAYUM- SAJJADNASHEEN -MAKAAN SHARIEFI
Sardar Nirmal Singh Kahlon MLA Punjab(Indian)who is a legislator in the Provincial assembly and an active member of the KARTARPUR SAHIB CORRIDOR was requested to approach the concerned authorities to attend to the repairs of these historical monuments at RATTAR CHATTAR(MAKANSHARIEF)which have a history of more than 580 years, and save them from ruin. He was also requested to approach their GOVT. to relax the VISA restrictions on on PAKISTANI pilgrims visiting the sites at RATTAR CHATTAR.
