Medieval North India:
The original name of Makan sharief was ''Rattar Chattar''.It was located on a high mound on the left bank of river Ravi.It was the governing seat of a Hindu Raja named Chattar Dhari.May be Dhari Chand, and Chattar(The RoyalUmbrella)under which his throne was kept.So he was famous by the name of Chattar Dhari.
IT WAS MY DESIRE TO VISIT THE SHRINES OF THESE SAINTS AND WAS TRYING FOR THE VISA FOR THE LAST MANY YEARS- AT LAST MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED BY ALLAH ALMIGHTY AND I VISITED RATTAR CHATTAR FROM 21ST MARCH TO 4RTH OF APRIL 2013
