Medieval North India:
The original name of Makan sharief was ''Rattar Chattar''.It was located on a high mound on the left bank of river Ravi.It was the governing seat of a Hindu Raja named Chattar Dhari.May be Dhari Chand, and Chattar(The RoyalUmbrella)under which his throne was kept.So he was famous by the name of Chattar Dhari.

HAZRAT FATEH NAJEEB SAHIB IS BURRIED HERE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE ENTRANCE DOOR TO THE PHORA SHARIEF. THE SIGNS OF THE GRAVE HAVE OBLITERATED
I was present at the time of the burial of SYED FATEH NAJEEB SAHIB may ALLAH SWT shower His grace upon him. The year of demise I do not remember being a kid. The grave is on the left hand side of the PHORA SHARIEF door, the sighns of which have obliterated here
